La e-salud al servicio de la cronicidad
Madrid, 8-Jul-2014

19th Swiss-HLG Conference
Switzerland, 2-Feb-2014 a 4-Feb-2014
. Hotel Waldhaus Flims
Forging New Alliances Across Healthcare Sectors 19th Swiss-HLG Conference February 2nd – 4th 2014 Hotel Waldhaus Flims, Switzerland
Our conference directors and Board have been working hard to bring you this much anticipated annual conference- with you, our members and friends, we aim to keep this annual conference as one of the best in the BD world. Our theme explores the fact that the pharma industry isn’t just about pharmaceuticals anymore.Today, pharma business developers count among their colleagues people from other sectors of the healthcare industry, including medical technologies such as diagnostics and devices, and medical nutrition.
Our deal sheets probably reflect this shift to “holistic” healthcare as well; deals combining tracking technology with oral drugs, supportive medical food with pharmaceuticals to enhance nutritional or medical benefits and companion diagnostics to improve the efficacy of treatments in the individual.
Please save this date. Our conference directors are:
The Swiss HLG recognized the important change in the way we business developers do business, and in 2013 we changed our name from the Swiss Pharma Licensing Group to the Swiss Healthcare Licensing Group. Long-term members know that we always have been open to all sectors of the healthcare and life sciences industries, but we changed our name to raise awareness of our diverse and inclusive membership and to enhance our platform for cross-sector networking, deal making and exchanges of know-how and best practices.
Special rate for Flims 2014: To celebrate our first Winter conference as the Swiss HLG, and to encourage as many business developers from the diverse sectors of our industry to attend, we are offering a one-time special rate of CHF 900 for Members and CHF 1380 for non-Members. As we anticipate significant interest, we are limiting the number of attendees to 100 to ensure that we may provide the same quality of conference at the Waldhaus as in past years. Information about how to become a member of the Swiss HLG, and the benefits, is available on our website at www.swisshlg.com.
Be a sponsor!
The Swiss HLG is a non-profit professional association and we rely on the support of healthcare and life science organizations to be able to fulfil our educational and business networking roles. Our conferences are not only an excellent platform for networking with colleagues, but also a good place to showcase and attract partners to your organization.
We have pre-defined sponsoring packages from which you could choose, and we also would be happy to discuss tailor-made packages to suit your goals. Please contact Carina Spaans: carina.spaans@actelion.com
Goodbye to former Board Member, Jonathan Freeman
Jonathan had been on our Board for several years and contributed much to the Swiss HLG. With regrets, he has moved to Boston and has left our Board. We look forward to Jonathan joining us at our upcoming meetings.

Actualización: Abierto el plazo de registro
Dear Members & Colleagues,
The Board of the Swiss HLG is pleased to announce the opening of the registration for our 19th conference, Forging New Alliances Across Healthcare Sectors 2 – 4 February 2014 Hotel Waldhaus, Flims, Switzerland
The pharma industry isn’t just about pharmaceuticals anymore. Today, pharma business developers count among their colleagues people from other sectors of the healthcare industry, including medical technologies such as diagnostics and devices, and medical nutrition. Our 2014 annual Winter conference will explore different, and in some cases less well known sectors of our industry and the opportunities for making deals – or forging alliances – among them.
The Swiss HLG recognized this important change in the way we developers do business, and in 2013 we changed our name from the Swiss Pharma Licensing Group to the Swiss Healthcare Licensing Group.
We have planned a special program addressing the trend toward holistic healthcare and cross-sector dealmaking. Among the highlights, executives from Sanofi, Vifor-Fresenius and Novo Nordisk will tell us how their companies have a broad new approach towards fighting diabetes different to traditional pharmaceutical development; we will hear from Qualcomm and Medgate how technologies are improving patients’ access to care and information; and executives from Apidel and NanoIsrael will address new interests in pharmaceutical technologies and what it takes to succeed as a start-up in this new landscape.
For more information on the conference program, please click here.
To register and reserve accommodation, please click here.
For information on becoming a member of the Swiss HLG, and the benefits, please visit our website www.swisshlg.com.
There also will be plenty of opportunities for informal meetings and networking. As always, fireside chats and discussions are traditional hallmarks of the Swiss HLG Winter event.
A must-attend meeting for any BD&L professional! Come join us!
We have a full program of education and networking with sessions led by senior executives from a broad variety of healthcare sectors, including pharma, technologies, telemedicine and data monitoring. Among the highlights, the CEO of Helsinn, Ricardo Braglia, will deliver the keynote address on Helsinn’s new approach to oncology and Novartis’s head of development strategy will talk about innovative trial design using technologies and non-traditional forums. We also focus on the increasingly important disease area of diabetes and different companies’ holistic approaches to patient therapy and control. Our speakers represent the full range of healthcare industry organizations, including academia, biotech and fully integrated global companies.
